Big and sweet! That's the winter carrots 'Flakkese 2' (Daucus carota). The large, orange-red carrots keep really well. An organic carrot from your own vegetable garden. This variety is productive and can be kept indoors during winter. Sow the seeds in the open ground from mid-March to June. You can harvest the carrots from October through November.
Space the seeds 5 cm apart. Space the rows at a distance of 35 cm. Plant at a depth of 0.5 to 1 cm. Carrots like full or partial shade. After sowing, water the seeds adequately. The seeds come in a bag containing approximately 1.5 grams. This is enough to sow 10 square metres.
