For small gardens
Upright and conical, the white cedar 'Brabant' (Thuja occidentalis) is ideal as an evergreen hedge or as a stand-alone conifer! The Thuja stands up well to sea winds. The 'Brabant' should be pruned twice a year, in summer and in autumn. Only prune the green parts and make sure that the base of the white cedar is wider than the top, so sunlight can reach all parts of the tree. Plant the hardy Thuja in a nice sheltered spot in full sun or partial shade. Keep the soil moist. Remember to add extra water during dry periods.A gorgeous and easy-to-maintain hedge or conifer!
