Magical spring garden
A striking, spring flower. For a magical spring garden! The 'Purple Sensation' adorns the garden with deep purple, spherical flowers on long sturdy stems. The flowers attract pollinators. Beautiful in a border or as a cut flower in a beautiful bouquet! Plant the bulbs in the autumn. In well-drained soil. The flowers bloom in the spring.
The bulbs can be planted in open ground or in a pot. Potted bulbs aren't frost hardy, so bring the pot indoors or protect the plant with bubble wrap. Space the bulbs out when planting in open ground. The distance between plants is three times the width of the bulb. Plant the bulb the depth of three times the bulb's height. Plant the bulbs in full sun or partial shade. Water the bulb immediately after planting. Don't water it until the soil feels dry to the touch. The bulbs come in organic packaging. Made of 100% natural materials and 100% recyclable!
All of our flower bulbs have the Holland Selection A quality mark, and come with a 100% guarantee that they will grow and bloom. You can be certain that the flower bulbs will grow.

How do I plant the Allium?
It’s best to plant the Allium as soon as possible after receipt. Plant it directly into the ground, in a flower pot or in a spacious planter. The Allium grows best in loose, well-drained soil. A sheltered spot in the sun, semi-shade or in the shadow will do just fine.
The Allium should be planted at a depth of 3 times the height of the bulb. For instance, if the flower bulb is 5 cm high it should be planted at a depth of 15 cm. The distance between small bulbs is 5 - 8 cm and 10 - 15 cm between larger ones.
Planting can be done in spring as well as in autumn. Use a small spade or a special bulb planter for planting. Plant the bulb with the tip up and the roots down.
Planting the Allium in the garden
Find a suitable place in the border or create a flowerbed. Loosen the soil well and divide the flower bulbs across the surface. That can be done in groups of 6 or spread out evenly. Plant the Allium as indicated above, water immediately, and don't walk on the freshly planted area.
How do I plant the Allium in a pot or planter?
Put a layer of hydro grains on the bottom of a decorative pot. Place the flower bulb in the potting soil at the right depth. Water immediately after planting. It's best to put the pot inside in winter, as a tulip in a pot doesn't cope well with frost.

How do I care for the Allium?
The Allium doesn't require a lot of care. Water well during dry spells. Make sure the soil doesn't become too moist. Remove dead flower stems so all the energy goes to the bulb. Clip off the Allium's leaves once they turn yellow. Cover the soil with a layer of leaves during frost.
