Purifying water-lily

It looks just like a water-lily! The large, round leaves of the yellow floating heart (Nymphoides peltata) look lovely drifting on the water. The pitcher-shaped, yellow leaves rise quite far above the water. This decorative plant oxygenates the water, helping to clarify it. We plant the yellow floating heart up to 40 cm deep in the pond. Or we can plant the water plant under water. We plant yellow floating heart in the spring. The flower blossoms in the summer.
We prune the plant slightly to shape it with a pruning shear. We remove old leaves and dirt. To encourage good growth, we add minerals to the pond water and ensure that the water's hardness level (pH value and calcium to magnesium ratio) is maintained. A location in full sun is best for this aquatic plant. The plant comes with a pond basket.

Planting
The aquatic plant, Yellow Floating Heart, is best planted in a pond basket. Cover the basket with jute and fill with special soil. Plant Nymphoides peltata in the basket and fill up with soil. Cover with the remaining jute and sprinkle with a layer of gravel. Place the basket just below the surface or up to 20-100 cm deep in the pond. This plant grows well in deep water. Put this plant in full sun. The best time to plant is between May and June.

Care
Yellow Floating Heart is a strong pond plant that requires minimal maintenance. Cut off dead leaves in autumn and remove from the pond. If the clump grows too large, remove the Nymphoides peltata from the pond in May. Divide the clump into smaller pieces and plant only one piece back inside the pond.

Extra
Yellow Floating Heart has flowers that remain open for just one day. Fortunately, several new flowers open daily. It is a rapid grower and will eventually need a lot of space. This beautiful aquatic plant is still common in the wild.
