Orange centre
A large pink lily with an orange centre. The water-lily 'Hollandia' (Nymphaea) does not disappoint! The lily is a real eye-catcher. The large leaves of the water lily provide a lot of shade for the fish in the water. That keeps algae at bay! Plant the water-lily in the spring. The flower blossoms in the summer.
We maintain a planting depth of 120 cm. We prune the plants slightly to shape them with a pruning shear. We remove old leaves and dirt. To encourage good growth, we add minerals to the pond water and ensure that the water's hardness level (pH value and calcium to magnesium ratio) is maintained. Put the lily in a sunny spot.

Planting
Plant the rhizome of the Nymphaea 'Hollandia' almost horizontal in a large pond basket filled with special water lily soil. First line the basket with a piece of jute, put the water lily in the basket and fill with soil. Cover everything with the remaining jute and sprinkle with a layer of gravel. Place the basket at least 40 cm deep, or preferably 60 cm deep in the pond. In order to experience a rich bloom, plant the water lily in a sunny area. Light shade is also tolerated.
Care
Care
In autumn, remove all the dead leaves of the water lily in the pond. In winter make sure that the basket with the Nymphaea 'Hollandia is at least 40 cm deep in order to prevent freezing. Has the water lily grown too much? If so, in May you can dig up the roots, cut them into smaller pieces using a knife and replant them again.
Extra
Extra
The glossy leaves of the Nymphaea' Hollandia' have a beautiful look of marble about them. Bring one of the flowers indoors in a vase and enjoy its delicious scent!
