Planting
What do I need?
• Ornamental planter
• Potting soil
• Hydro grains (optional)

How do I plant the Plumeria in a pot?
This houseplant is delivered in a standard growers’ pot. It’s best for the growth of the Xanthosoma to plant it in an ornamental planter. Select a planter that is at least 20 percent larger than the growers’ pot.

Cover the bottom of the ornamental planter with a layer of potting soil. Does the ornamental planter have a hole? Then start with a layer of hydro grains, so the water can drain away. The Plumeria should be 1 to 2 cm below the rim. Remove the growers’ pot and place the plant in the middle of the ornamental planter. Fill the pot with fresh potting soil and press it down slightly.
Care
What do I need?
• Watering can
• Fertiliser for green plants
• Plant sprayer

How do I care for the Plumeria?
For best growth, water the Plumeria weekly. Dissolve a little green plant fertiliser in the irrigation water every second week. In summer, it may be necessary to water twice a week, only when the soil feels dry. The Plumeria needs a rest period in November and December. Then water less and don't fertilise.

Good air humidity of 60 to 90 percent is also important. Otherwise, the leaf edges may dry out. Therefore, spray the leaves regularly when the air is dry. The Plumeria prefers a bright spot out of the sun.
Extra
In Polynesian culture, the Plumeria has a special meaning. There, the flower is worn by women to show whether they are looking for a relationship. When a woman wears the flower on her right ear, she is looking for a relationship. Does she wear the flower over her left ear? That means that she is taken!
