Planting
Choose a pot with holes in the base to aid drainage or a hanging basket. Cover the bottom with a layer of potsherds or hydro grains. Put potting compost in the pot and plant the Calibrachoa Callie® 'Sunrise' at the correct depth and approximately 20 cm apart. Cover with compost and press firmly. Water immediately after planting. Plants that get more sun produce more flowers, so give your plants a light, sunny position wherever possible. The smooth stems of Calibrachoa Callie® 'Sunrise' can also trail on the ground. So it also competes as a good ground cover that blooms throughout the summer. In the garden, plant about 30 cm apart and create a colourful border along your garden path. . Calibrachoa in hanging basket Due to its pending growth it is strongly advisable to plant Calibrachoa Callie® 'Sunrise' in hanging baskets. Using fresh potting compost arrange the plants about 10 cm apart in the basket. Plant alone or you can make beautiful combinations with plants such as Lobelia, hanging Geraniums and Verbena. The stems will grow well between other plants and hang gracefully over the edge of the basket.
Care
  1. Choose a hanging basket or pot with holes in the bottom.
  2. Cover the bottom with pot shards or a layer of clay pebbles.
  3. Add fresh potting soil to the pot and place the root ball of the Calibrachoa at the correct height.
  4. Fill it up with potting soil and press firmly.
  5. Give the plants plenty of water immediately after planting.
  6. Place the plants roughly 20 cm apart in the pot.
These flowers do their best blooming in full sun. The smooth stems of the Calibrachoa are fine if they lay on the ground. This makes it a great plant for flower beds, since it blooms all summer. Keep the plants roughly 30 cm apart from each other in a bed.
Extra
You can clearly see that calibrachoa is strongly related to the petunia. Simple care, trailing growth and exuberant flowering make the calibrachoa a popular choice amongst patio plants.
