A lovely combination
A richly flowering variety! The attractive violet blue flowers of the meadow clary (Salvia pratensis) are lovely in combination with their dark-coloured stems. The cheerful, organic flowers add extra charm to the garden because they attract bees and butterflies. Meadow clary is a true native plant. The flowers bloom beautifully in the summer.
To prolong their full bloom, prune back the hardy Salvia before it blooms again. Plant three plants per linear metre. Salvia prefers a sunny spot in the garden. Meadow clary likes calcium-rich soil that is not too wet. Remember to give extra water during dry periods.
A radiant purple border!
