Tropical fruit on the tree

A fresh surprise! We can grow tart fruit in our garden with the limequat tree 'Limequat' (Citrus japonica). The tropical fruit resembles a kumquat, but it's slightly different. The profusely blooming fruit tree flowers in spring, with fragrant flowers. In the second year after planting, you will see the fruits hanging from the tree. However, these are more for appearance than for consumption.
The citrus tree is at its best as a creeping plant. We therefore recommend planting the tree in a large planter. In the winter, position the plant in a spot where it can overwinter without being exposed to frost. The tree grows best in a sunny, sheltered spot. Water the tree immediately after planting. Don't water it until the soil feels dry to the touch.
