Real lavender
A wonderfully fragrant border? Why not use lavender (Lavandula angustifolia) to create one! The plant with purple flowers attracts bees and butterflies. The flowers bloom from the end of spring until the summer. The rest of the year, you can enjoy the evergreen stems!
After the summer, prune faded flowers away, but we leave the rest of the plant alone. In the spring, prune the plant further back to make room for young stems. Position the lavender in a sunny spot. It hardly needs any water, except in the case of prolonged drought.
