Decorative berries

As a decorative shrub, the cherry laurel 'Novita' (Prunus lusitanica) has dark green, pointed and glossy leaves. In spring, the 'Novita' will adorn your garden with beautiful white flowers that attract bees and butterflies!
You will receive the shrub as bare-root stock. This is more environmentally friendly than plastic nursery pots. The roots are shipped fresh from the ground. They are already one year old. This gives them additional strength, enabling them to grow faster than they would in a nursery pot. Plants grown from bare-root stock also adapt to their new environment more easily. They flower better and they are more economical. Bare-root stock plants grow when it becomes warmer. They are winter-hardy perennials.

The Prunus should be pruned twice per year, in early summer and early autumn. Plant the cherry laurel in a nice spot in full sun or partial or full shade. Give it extra water during dry periods.
