Colourful splendour
Lovely, full and double flowered. The California poppy (Escholschzia californica) 'Thai Silk' has attractive, wavy petals in brightly coloured red, purple and pink hues. It looks brilliant in a flower garden. The decorative flower is easy to sown with its fine seeds. This makes it very suitable for allowing to spread naturally. Plant the flower seeds outdoors in late March to late May by scattering them broadly or planting them in rows. The flowers bloom from June to September. The plant grows to about 40 cm tall.
Space the California poppy seeds 10 cm apart. Space the rows at a distance of 30 cm. Plant at a depth of 0.5 to 1 cm. The Eschscholzia blooms best in full sun. After sowing, water the seeds adequately. The flower seeds come in a bag containing approximately 0.1 grams. This is enough to sow 7 square metres.
