It is a must-have for your vegetable garden. The organic leaf lettuce 'Hilde II' (Lactuca sativa) produces strong, tender heads and it tastes scrumptious in a salad. The vegetable seeds are organically certified. Plant the vegetable seeds in a seedbed under glass in February and March, or from March through August in the open ground. A lower temperature (15–20°C) is needed for germination. A bit of cold 'disturbs' the seed’s dormancy. You can harvest from April and May.
Space the lettuce seeds 30 cm apart. Space the rows at a distance of 30 cm. Plant at a depth of 0.5 to 1 cm. Give the vegetable seeds a spot in partial shade or full sun. After sowing, water the seeds adequately. The vegetable seeds come in a bag containing approximately 0.1 grams. This is enough to sow 35 square metres.
