Stately colours
Bright variety. The juniper 'Meyeri' (Juniperus squamata) is a classic species of conifer with a colourful twist. The plant's pine needles are icy grey-blue in colour. A nice change from the green in our garden! The winter-hardy plant retains its colour all year round. You can plant the Juniperus all year round, provided temperatures have not dipped below freezing.
Prune the juniper once, just before the summer. Then cut any shoots that stick out. You can also remove shoots if the foliage becomes too compact. Place the plant in full sun. Water the plant sparingly. Water it more during dry periods.
