Planting
As soon as possible after receiving the double-flowered narcissi bulbs they can be planted in the garden, a flower pot or in a planter. If not they must be kept in a frost-free area. Bulbs planted in a flower pot are not usually frost resistant. Plant the bulbs in a planting hole that is three times as deep as the height of the bulbs. A bulb of 5 cm should be planted in a 15 cm deep hole with a planting distance of approximately 10 cm. Loosen the soil well and plant the double-flowered narcissi bulbs with the point facing upwards. Refill the planting hole and avoid walking over the soil. Plant the bulbs one by one with a small trowel or with a special bulb planter. For larger groups make a wider hole and plant more bulbs in it. Narcissus mixed grows best in moist well-drained soil in full sun, but also does well in partial shade. Double-flowered narcissi in the garden Double-flowered narcissi are real eye-catchers in the spring garden. The more flower bulbs you plant the greater the impact of the flowers. Plant the narcissi in groups of at least 6 bulbs, or divide about 25 to 50 flower bulbs evenly over the garden border or flower bed. Double-flowered Narcissus mixed also grows well in a flower pot or patio container. Make sure you have fresh potting compost and put a layer of gravel or hydro granules at the bottom of the pot. Plant the narcissi bulbs with the point facing upwards in the pot. Protect the bulbs against frost by placing the pot in a frost-free area or cover it with bubble wrap. Water during dry periods. After flowering the bulbs can be planted in the garden.
Care
The double-flowered narcissi bulbs can remain in the same spot for years. Deadhead the faded flowers and this will direct the energy back into the bulb. After flowering, leave the foliage to die down naturally and cut back when it has turned yellow. The double-flowered daffodil bulbs will flower in abundance the following spring if they are left undisturbed.
Extra
Our collection of double-flowered narcissi consists of the most beautiful varieties. You will enjoy white, white-yellow, white-pink and yellow-orange flowers, which will look amazing. A bunch of these double-flowered narcissi in a vase will be a glorious sight.
