20x Allium - Mix 'Hello Spring' purple

Allium
Cheerful alliums!
The air will be scented with spring when you bring the allium mix 'Hello Spring' (Allium) into the house! This mix of alliums is a feast for the eyes. The richly flowering bulbous plant is at home everywhere: in a rock garden, in a border between perennials and in the garden or on the balcony or patio. They also make very nice cut flowers! The mix contains: Allium Purple Sensation, Allium Multibulbosum, Allium Albopilosum and Allium Violet Beauty. Plant them in the autumn and watch them bloom in the spring.
You can plant the bulbs in the open ground or in a decorative pot. In a pot, the flowers are not resistant to frost. In that case, it's best to bring the pot inside or protect the plant with bubble wrap. When planting in the open ground, maintain a planting distance of three times the width of the flower bulb. Plant the bulb the depth of three times the bulb's height. Put the flower bulbs in the sun or partial shade. Water once a week. Remember to add extra water during dry periods.
The allium is a real treat for yourself (or for someone else)!

How we measure

We measure the diameter of the bulb. A bigger bulb contains more food for longer flowering and a stronger plant.

Planting+

Plant your ornamental onion bulbs (Allium sp.) as soon as possible upon receipt in the garden, or into planters. Ensure good drainage wherever you plant them. Add some sand to clay soils. The low growing varieties are especially suited to pots and planters. Store the allium bulbs frost-free if not planting right away. Potted bulbs especially are less frost tolerant.
Plant each bulb in a hole three times as deep as the height of the bulb - a 5 cm bulb should be planted in a 15 cm hole. The planting distance of the large ornamental onion is around 25 cm (for the smaller varieties like Allium molly, just 5 cm). Loosen the soil thoroughly with a fork and plant the bulbs with the point up and roots down. Fill the hole with soil and try not to walk over where you have planted any bulbs. For larger areas, dig a wider hole and plant several bulbs at once. These ornamental onion bulbs will best thrive in a fertile soil in full sun.

How do I care for the Allium?
The Allium doesn't require a lot of care. Water well during dry spells. Make sure the soil doesn't become too moist. Remove dead flower stems so all the energy goes to the bulb. Clip off the Allium's leaves once they turn yellow. Cover the soil with a layer of leaves during frost.
