Plant your Oxalis 'Autumn Pink' corms a.s.a.p upon receipt in the garden or in pots and planters. These oxalis corms should be planted about 3 cm deep and about 20 cm apart. Loosen the soil with a fork and plant them roots down. Fill the hole and water immediately. Oxalis will thrive in loose, well drained soil with some added grit, in full sun or part shade.
Wood Sorrel 'Autumn Pink' in the garden
The refined looked flowers on oxalis really do deserve a prominent spot in the garden. A shallow dish or trough, or a window-box can also make the perfect spot to grow Oxalis 'Autumn Pink'. Do ensure good drainage wherever you plant them. This low growing plant looks terrific in a rockery or along the edge of beds or borders. The small, bright green and glossy foliage grows in neat little clumps.
Care
Oxalis 'Autumn Pink' corms can stay planted just where you put them for years on end. Keep the soil fairly dry early summer, until the plant starts to grow. Then water it regularly. Bakker recommends adding some plant food to the watering can at regular intervals for good growth. This will help promote abundant flowering in the following year too.
Wood sorrel in the winter
Allow your oxalis' foliage to die back on its own. Oxalis corms can withstand quite some cold but it might be best to give them a helping hand over a severe winter. Add a mulch of leaf litter or straw for some extra protection. Store potted oxalis in a frost free area over the winter. A soil that is too wet in the winter will not be well tolerated.
