Tillandsia Air Plants

Growing Tillandsia

These plants require bright but indirect light and a humid environment in order to thrive, so your bathroom or kitchen would be the ideal spot. But remember, if you go for one in a globe, the glass will intensify the heat, so do not place it directly in front of the window. They also require good air circulation and will appreciate a breeze when it is very hot.

Tillandsia Care

Tillandsia are very hardy and require much less attention than other house plants.

This plant will need watering but a couple of sprays will be sufficient – they should never sit in water for any length of time and dislike overwatering. If possible it is best to use rainwater – especially in hard water areas and never use water from a water softener.
