Put the plant in partial shade. Spray the leaves regularly. This prevents the leaf edges from drying out. Always keep the soil moist, without letting the plant stand in water.

This plant comes in a standard nursery pot that you can just place in an attractive planter or stand on a saucer. Drainage water can collect in the bottom and either the plant will drink it or it will evaporate – only water again when it is all gone.
The Stromanthe ‘Multicolour is a real jungle plant and really does not like full sun! It likes a high humidity, so spray the leaves regularly with rainwater to keep them nice and fresh looking. If the air is too dry, you will see the edges of the leaves dry out. Do not overfeed - half the dosage suggested on dry or liquid fertiliser packets is sufficient.
Stromanthes are classified as Marantaceae and will eventually flower but they are of little or no consequence.
