Draws every eye
The main feature of the radiator plant (Peperomia graveolens) is its beautiful leaves. The colours and patterns on the leaf will draw all eyes. The Peperomia has a striking red colour on the underside of its leaves. This makes it perfect for combining with other succulents, though it also more than holds its own as a lone specimen.
Put the Peperomia in a bright spot, but away from direct sunlight. The radiator plant doesn't need a lot of water; watering once a week will do.

- The Peperomia can also be planted in a larger flower pot so the plant has more room to grow. Cover the bottom of the inner pot with a layer of hydro grains.
- Then add a layer of potting soil to the pot.
- Remove the nursery pot and plant the Peperomia to 1 to 2 centimetres below the edge so there is room for the irrigation water.
- Fill the pot with fresh potting soil and press it down slightly.
Care
What do I need?
Water the Peperomia when the soil feels dry as this plant doesn't like to have wet feet. Don't feel bad if you skipped watering your plant ... that's no problem. Adding a bit of plant food to the irrigation water each month will give the plant some extra strength. Once the flowers have blossomed, you can clip them off. With the proper care, the plant will flourish again next year. The Peperomia loves warmth. Put the flower pot in a warm, bright spot but not in full sunlight.
