Delicious seasoning
Thick, arrow-shaped leaves. With a tasty, strong onion flavour. Coarse chives (Allium schoenoprasum) is also very winter-hardy. It is perfect for egg dishes, salads and soups. Plant the herb seeds from March to August in rows or in flower pots. After sowing, don't cut the leaves too early or too severely. You can harvest May to October.
Space the chive seeds 30 cm apart. Space the rows at a distance of 35 cm. Plant at a depth of 0.5 to 1 cm. Plant the chives in a sunny or partially shady spot. After sowing, water the seeds adequately. The herb seeds come in a bag containing approximately 2 grams. This is enough to sow 3 square metres.
