Sweet chestnuts
A large tree with a broad crown. The chestnut tree (Castanea Sativa) will be an imposing figure in your garden. You can enjoy the delicious sweet chestnuts from autumn onwards. You can plant the chestnut tree out in the garden. Alternatively, it can be planted in a large pot on a patio, roof terrace or balcony. The tree blossoms in the summer. That's when it reveals its lovely white flowers. The sweet chestnuts that fall from the chestnut tree in autumn are edible.
Prune the pear tree between January and February. Sufficient light is needed to ensure good growth. For this reason, the chestnut tree should be planted in full or partial sun. Keep it nice and moist. It's best to give the tree extra water during dry spells.
The plant is grown organically. In other words, no chemical pesticides have been used to grow the plant. For a healthy garden!
