You can plant the Narcissus 'Avalanche' bulbs immediately after receiving them in either the ground or in a pot. When planting the bulbs, make sure that the depth of the hole is twice as deep as the height of the bulb. A 5 cm bulb should therefore be planted in a 10 cm hole. Space the Narcissus 'Avalanche' approximately 10-15 cm apart. Loosen the soil well and plant the tubers with the roots pointing downwards. Fill the hole with soil and press firmly. You can plant the bulbs using a trowel or a special bulb planter. For larger groups plant more bulbs into a larger hole.
The Summer Narcissus 'Grand Soleil d'Or' makes a great combination plant
The fragrant flowers of the Narcissus 'Avalanche' complement other bulbous plants. Combine the white and yellow flowers with Bessera Elegans and Tigridia Pavonia. Whether combined in a border or in a flower pot, they will have a striking appearance.
Care
The bulbs of the Narcissus 'Avalanche' can remain in the same spot for several years. After flowering add some fertiliser and cut off the faded flower stems so that the energy can go back into the bulb. Only cut off the foliage when it has turned yellow. With proper care, your Narcissus 'Avalanche' will produce lots of flowers next spring.
