Planting
It would be best to keep the angels' trumpet as a tub plant. Choose a large pot or a tub with holes in the base. As the angels' trumpet will grow relatively large, it is advisable to use a sturdy pot, which will prevent the plant from falling over. Cover the base with broken crocks or a layer of hydro pellets and place the root ball of the Brugmansia at the correct height. Fill with more soil and press down firmly. Generously water immediately after planting and place the pot in a sheltered spot in full sun.

Care
In summer, the angels' trumpet requires a lot of water. The root ball in the pot should never be left to dry out. Therefore, place a saucer with water under the pot during dry periods. The rich bloom also demands a lot of nutrition. Add fertiliser to Brugmansia regularly until the end of September. This can be done easily, by dissolving plant nutrition in the water. Overwintering Brugmansia This tub plant is not winter-hardy, but it is easy to keep the angels' trumpet through the winter. For this, in autumn you should place the pot in a frost-free room at 5-10 °C, watering very little. In May, you can move the angels' trumpet outdoors again. In spring, the angels' trumpet can be pruned to its required shape. Keep some of the older stems (lateral stems). In May, prune back all side stems growing from the main stems by approximately half.
Extra
The huge flowers of the Brugmansia give off a delicious fragrance. The flowers are magnificent. This shrub is also known by its old name Datura. All parts of the plant are highly toxic, but that should not be a problem when using the plant normally.
