Crocus vernus 'Jeanne d'Arc'
Fresh white
Large, white flowers with beautifully glossy petals. The fresh colour of the crocus 'Jeanne d'Arc' (Crocus) brings spring to the garden! The crocuses have even more impact if they are planted in large swathes. Perfect to let run wild. Plant the flower bulbs in the autumn. In well-drained soil. The flowers bloom in the spring.
The bulbs can be planted in open ground or in a pot. Potted flower bulbs aren't frost hardy, so bring the pot indoors or protect the plant with bubble wrap. Space the bulbs out when planting in open ground. The distance between plants is three times the width of the bulb. Plant the flower bulb the depth of three times the bulb's height. Plant the bulbs in full sun or partial shade. Water the bulbs immediately after planting. Don't water it until the soil feels dry to the touch. The flower bulbs come in plant-based, organic packaging. Made of 100% natural, plant-based materials and 100% recyclable!
All of our flower bulbs have the Holland Selection A quality mark, and come with a 100% guarantee that they will grow and bloom. You can be certain that the flower bulbs will grow.

Plant the large-flowered crocus ‘Jeanne d’Arc’ as soon as possible after receipt, in the garden or in pots and planters. Plant in a hole 3 times deeper than the height of the bulb - a 2 cm bulb goes in a 6 cm hole with a planting distance of about 2 cm.

Loosen the soil well with a fork and plant the crocus with the point upwards. Refill the planting hole and avoid walking over the soil. For larger groups, dig a wider hole and plant more bulbs together.

Large-flowered crocus ‘Jeanne d’Arc’ will thrive in well-drained soil – and the more the merrier really. Try groups of at least 25 - or even 25-50 spread evenly over the bed, border, or lawn.

Large-flowered crocus ‘Jeanne d’Arc’ in pots

Large-flowered crocus ‘Jeanne d’Arc’ will thrive in pots or window-boxes too. Always make sure you have a layer of gravel in the base and always use fresh potting compost. Protect your bulbs from frost – store frost-free or wrap in bubble wrap. Water in dry periods.

This large-flowered crocus are ideal for naturalising and can be left in the same spot for years making it very suitable for allowing to naturalise. After flowering, leave the foliage to die down naturally and cut back when it has turned yellow.

This also applies for crocus that you have planted in the lawn too! Follow these tips and the following spring you will be rewarded once again with an abundance of colourful flowers.

Crocus is a real harbinger of spring that will brighten your garden, patio or decking early in the year with its charming flowers. A low grower, it looks wonderful in pots or window-boxes too and will really be noticed for the big yellow stamens! Crocus copes well in cold and snow too!
