The root is freshly removed from the soil. It is already one year old. This gives it additional strength, enabling it to grow faster than a plant in a nursery pot. Bare-rooted plants adapt easily to their new environment. They flower better and are more economical. They grow when it gets warmer. They are winter-hardy perennials. They can be planted at any time, provided that the ground is not frozen.
This mix flowers for about two months, from May and June. Give these bare-rooted plants a nice spot in an ornamental pot or in the full ground. They grow best in (partial) shade. Keep the soil around the roots moist, but take care that it never becomes too wet.
