Air-purifying indoor plants
Could your house use a few extra green touches? Then this Areca palm (Dypsis lutescens) and the fishbone prayer plant (Ctenanthe burle-marxii) with decorative pots are the perfect addition. The Areca palm and the fishbone prayer plant purify the air. The imposing foliage of the Areca captures air impurities and converts them into oxygen. The fishbone prayer plant has leaves that fold up in the evening. This makes for nice variation.
The palm trees need high humidity. Water them once or twice a week. You will need to do this less often in November and December. The plants like light, but not strong, midday sunshine.
They come with two decorative pots by Mica Decorations. The pots are made of ceramic and have a special glazed finish. The base is white with a beautiful colour gradient to its warm brown edge.
Tip: The Areca palm is a fast grower. Adding some liquid plant food to its water once every two weeks is sufficient. You do not have to do this in winter, however.
