The most beautiful crocuses!
Welcome spring into your garden with the Crocus mix 'Nature Day' (Vernus). The mix contains a great combination: the purple Crocus Grand Maitre, the white Crocus Jeanne D'arc and the purple-white Crocus King of the Striped. This mix attracts bees and butterflies and is organically grown. The bulbs look nice outside in open ground, or in a pot or flower box. Plant the flower bulbs in autumn and the crocuses will flower in spring.
Protect the potted flower bulbs in winter by covering the soil with a layer of autumn leaves. In the event of severe frost, temporarily place the pot in a shed or protect it with bubble wrap. When planted in a pot, the flower bulbs can be somewhat closer together. The crocus does well in either full sun or shade. Water once a week. Remember to add extra water during dry periods.

Planting
Although these particular crocuses were designed specifically for growing indoors, they can also be grown outdoors. Crocuses are great in pots or window-boxes. Make sure you use fresh potting compost and layer the bottom of the pot with gravel or hydro-pellets. Just plant the contents of the nursery pot you have received, over into your own pot.
They'll look great outdoors on your patio table but beware of late frosts in early spring. Protect them by keeping them indoors or storing temporarily in a frost-free area.

Care
Water potted corms regularly.
Your crocuses will flower for longer if you place them in a cool area overnight.
We advise buying new corms every year (whether forced or not). Once these bulbs have flowered, it’s best to discard them.

Extra
The crocus flower is always really pretty. Some species even have lovely glossy petals or decorative, bright orange stamens. There are many cultivars on the market and also many botanical species available. The various botanical species are absolutely worth growing!
