Planting
As soon as possible after receiving the Narcissi Mixed bulbs they can be planted in the garden, a flower pot or in a planter. If not they must be kept in a frost-free area. Bulbs planted in a flower pot are not usually frost resistant. Plant the bulbs in a planting hole that is three times as deep as the height of the bulbs. A bulb of 5 cm should be planted in a 15 cm deep hole. The planting distance of the narcissi is about 10 cm. Loosen the soil well and plant the bulbs with the point facing upwards. Refill the planting hole and avoid walking over the soil. Plant the bulbs one by one with a small trowel or with a special bulb planter. For larger groups make a wider hole and plant more bulbs in it. The more bulbs planted the greater the effect the flowers will have. Plant the narcissi in groups of at least 6 bulbs, or divide about 25 to 50 bulbs evenly over the garden border or flower bed. The narcissi mixed grows best in moist, well-drained soil in a sunny or part shaded area. Narcissus mix in a pot The narcissi mix grows well in a flower pot or patio container. Make sure you use fresh potting compost and put a layer of gravel or hydrograins at the bottom of the pot. Plant the bulbs with the point facing upwards in the pot. To protect the bulbs grown in a pot against frost, move the pot to a frost-free area or cover it with bubble wrap. Water during dry periods. After flowering the bulbs can be planted in the garden.
Care
The narcissi mix bulbs can remain in the same spot for years. Deadhead the faded flowers and this will direct the energy back into the bulb. After flowering, leave the foliage to die down naturally and cut back when it has turned yellow. The narcissi will provide you with an abundance of flowers again the following spring.
Extra
Our narcissi mix is a wonderful mixture of white, white-yellow, yellow and yellow-orange narcissi. Plant in generous quantities to take advantage of these beautiful varieties we have put together. All varieties have a large flower with a substantial sized trumpet. They will keep on flowering every year for many years.
