It looks like a big buttercup! Large, round leaves with cheerful, yellow flowers. The yellow water-lily (Nuphar lutea) adds that something special to any large pond. The flowers taste bitter, so fish will leave the yellow water-lily alone. Plant the waterside plant in the spring. The flower blossoms in the summer.
