We maintain a planting depth of 120 cm. We prune the plants slightly to shape them with a pruning shear. We remove old leaves and dirt. To encourage good growth, we add minerals to the pond water and ensure that the water's hardness level (pH value and calcium to magnesium ratio) is maintained. Put the lily in a sunny spot.

Your Nymphaea 'Marliacea Albida' rhizome should be planted almost horizontal in a large pond basket, filled with special water lily soil. First line the basket with hessian, plant the waterlily and cover with the special soil. Fold the remaining hessian over the top and give it a finishing layer of grit. Plant in the pond at least 40 cm, preferably 60 cm deep in a sunny spot and it will flower abundantly. Part shade should not be a problem.
Remove all dead leaves of this waterliy from the pond in late autumn. The basket holding your Nymphaea 'Marliacea Albida' should be at least 40 cm deep to prevent freezing. If it all gets too big for its boots, dig it up in May and divide the thick rhizome into smaller pieces with a sharp knife. Replant the best bits.
The Nymphaea 'Marliacea Albida' leaf is attractively marbled. Cut a flower and leaf for in a vase and you can enjoy the scent indoors too!
