Diamonds in the pond
They look just like diamonds! Water droplets on the fine leaves of the Parrot's feather 'Red Stem' (Myriophyllum brasiliensis) sparkle like diamonds. The 'Red Stem' is an oxygenating plant and clarifies the water. Plant the wetland plant in the spring.
At a depth of 40 cm, the oxygenating plant has no problem overwintering. Just remove the dead leaves in the autumn. The aquatic plant loves sun and partial shade. We supply the plant with a pond basket.

Planting
The pond plant Myriophyllum brasiliense can be rooted at the bottom of the pond or planted in a pond basket. Cover the basket with a piece of jute and fill it with special soil. Put the pearl herb plant in the basket and fill it with soil. Cover everything with the remaining jute and sprinkle with a layer of gravel. Place the basket about 20-50 cm deep in the pond. If your pond is not too shallow, you can place your basket on a pile of stones. Place this plant in complete sunshine. The best time to plant is between May and June.
Care
The Pearl Milfoil Herb plant is an easy-growing foliage pond plant that requires minimal maintenance. Cut off its dead leaves in autumn and remove them from the pond. If it gets too large by May, you can remove Myriophyllum brasiliense from the pond. Divide the clump into smaller pieces and plant only one piece back inside the pond.
Extra
Thanks to its dense and feathery leaves it provides an excellent haven for fish. This pond plant was originally from the famous Amazon River.
