Plant the tubers in the autumn. In well-drained soil. The flowers bloom in the beginning of the summer.

What do I need?
How do I plant the Eremurus?
It’s best to plant the Eremurus as soon as possible after receipt. Plant it directly into the ground in your garden. The tuber grows best in loose, well-drained soil. The Eremurus thrives best in a sheltered spot in the sun or semi-shade.
Dig a spacious hole of about 10 cm deep and loosen the soil well. Cover the bottom of the hole with a layer of coarse sand for proper drainage. Spread out the Eremurus’ roots well and make sure there is a distance of roughly 5 cm between the top of the roots and the soil. Then fill up the hole with soil, press it down firmly and water immediately.
Planting can be done in spring as well as in autumn. When planting multiple tubers, please maintain a distance of 40 to 60 cm between them.

How do I care for the Eremurus?
The new stems of the Eremurus may be sensitive to frost. Temporarily cover them to protect them from late (night) frost. Make sure that the soil does not dry out, especially in spring. In summer, the Eremurus can withstand some drought. You can completely clip off dead flower stems.
For optimal growth, fertilise the plant with cow manure pellets in spring. In winter, cover the soil with leaves or straw. This way, you’ll enjoy them years on end!
