Planting
In the spring, you can plant your Treasure Flowers 'Golden Flame' directly into flower pots, window-boxes, or in the ground. Choose a pot with holes in the base, cover the bottom with a layer of potsherds or hydrograins. Put fresh potting compost in the pot and plant the root ball of Treasure Flowers 'Golden Flame' at the appropriate depth, spaced approximately 15 cm apart. Fill the pot with compost and press firmly. Water immediately after planting. Place the pot in an elevated, sunny area. Line a porous pot with plastic or use a pot liner. This prevents evaporation of the water and stops the soil from drying out too quickly. When planted in the ground, the Treasure Flowers 'Golden Flame' should be spaced further apart. Improve your garden soil by adding some fresh potting soil.
The large, daisy-like flowers of Treasure Flowers 'Golden Flame' cover the entire plant during the flowering period, which makes them fantastic border plants. Plant this annual plant in large groups for a spectacular effect. Or create a colourful mix in the border or flower beds by combining them with Dahlia 'Toto' and Dwarf Daisies.
Care
Water your Treasure Flowers 'Golden Flame' regularly to prevent the soil from drying out. 'Golden Flame' can tolerate drought quite well, therefore, wet soil is certainly not desirable. Remove faded flowers on a regular basis to prolong the flowering period. For an extra rich bloom of your Treasure Flowers we recommend regularly adding plant food when watering during the summer. Treasure Flowers 'Golden Flame' are grown as annuals.
Extra
The golden yellow flowers of Treasure Flowers 'Golden Flame' are especially beautiful to admire when the afternoon sun is shining on them; they open up completely. The undersides of the leaves have silvery hairs on them. Treasure Flowers 'Golden Flame' is part of the aster family and is originally from South Africa. Over here, the Treasure Flowers 'Golden Flame' grow in warm, dry areas. These beautiful flowers can be admired along your garden path.
