The Fuchsia 'Bella Rosella' is not winter hardy. Before the first night frost, put the plant in a dark and cool place (5–10 degrees). Prune off half of the branches and remove all the leaves. Place the plant in partial shade. Protect the plant against bright sunlight. Give the plant sufficient water in the summer. Give it extra water during dry periods. For even more profuse blooming, add fertiliser to its water every week. A potted plant requires more water than one in the open ground. Water the potted plant once the soil feels dry to the touch.
