Heart-shaped leaves
A climber in the house! The 'Aureum' (Epipremnum) climbs up the moss stick and purifies the air. With its green and yellow, heart-shaped leaves, it looks beautiful in the house! But beware: the 'Aureum' is slightly toxic to children and pets.
Place the plant in a bright spot, but away from direct sunlight. The plant can also be placed in the shade, but the more light it catches, the brighter its colours will be. Watering it once a week and giving it plant food every two months is sufficient.
Fun fact: in its original habitat, the 'Aureum' can grow to a metre in size!

Planting
What do I need?
• Planter
• Potting soil
• Hydro grains (optional)
How to plant the Scindapus Epipremnum in a pot?
This houseplant is delivered in a standard growers pot. It’s best for the growth of the Scindapus Epipremnum to plant it in a decorative planter. Select a pot that is at least 20 percent larger than the growers pot.
Cover the bottom of the decorative planter with a layer of potting soil. Does the decorative pot have a hole? Then start with a layer of hydro grains, so the water can drain away. The Scindapus Epipremnum should be 1 to 2 cm below the rim. Remove the growers pot and place the plant in the middle of the decorative pot. Fill the pot with fresh potting soil and press it down slightly.
Repot the Scindapus Epipremnum every 3 years into a larger size to promote growth.

Care
What do I need?

How to take care of the Scindapus Epipremnum?
The Scindapus Epipremnum is a real jungle plant you have to water regularly. Try to keep the soil slightly moist and check this every now and then by pressing your finger into the soil. The plant should certainly not be standing in a layer of water.
The Scindapus Epipremnum likes a light spot without direct sunlight. You can see by the colour of the leaves whether the plant gets enough light. In a dark place, the leaves are green and dark. With a bit more light, they are much more colourful. Spray the plant occasionally to remove dust.

Extra
If you take good care of the Scindapus Epipremnum, the plant will take good care of you too! With its large leaves, it converts contaminated substances in your home into oxygen. Solvents in your furniture are released into the air. Too high a concentration of such gases can cause headaches, for example. The Scindapus Epipremnum reduces the risk of Sick Building Syndrome.
