Grow your own beetroot in your vegetable garden. It has a great flavour. The red beetroot 'Detroit' (Beta vulgaris) tastes great in salads and starters and the leaves are a tasty addition in salads. You can even store the red beetroot in the winter. The vegetable seeds are organically certified. Plant the vegetable seeds in rows in the open ground from mid-April to mid-July. You can harvest from July to October.
Space the beetroot seeds 25 cm apart. Space the rows at a distance of 10 cm. Plant at a depth of 0.5 to 1 cm. Plant the vegetable seeds in a sunny spot. After sowing, water the seeds adequately. The vegetable seeds come in a bag containing approximately 3 grams. This is enough to sow 3 square metres.
