Attractive all year round. The evergreen New Zealand flax 'Pink Flamingo' (Phormium) stays green. The oblong leaves create an exotic feel in our garden. 'Pink Flamingo' is tolerant of both heat and drought. A strong plant! We can plant this plant all year round, provided temperatures don't go below freezing. The plant blooms with lovely flowers in the summer months.
The plant does not require pruning. Just cut away the dead leaves. Place the plant so that is in partial shade. The plant grows best in slightly moist but well-drained soil. It's best to give them extra water during dry periods.
