The pepper 'Piquillo' (Caspicum annuum) does well on a balcony or patio! Or outdoors in the vegetable garden. The small, conical fruits are red in colour with a fine texture and an unmistakeable flavour. The vegetable seeds are organically certified. Sow the seeds in a seedbed from mid-March when temperatures reach 20°C or later outside under glass. Thin out and transplant them into pots to put on a windowsill or in a greenhouse. You can harvest from August to September.
Space the pepper seeds 45 cm apart. Space the rows at a distance of 45 cm. Plant at a depth of 0.5 to 1 cm. Plant the vegetable seeds in a nice spot in full sun. After sowing, water the seeds adequately. The vegetable seeds come in a bag containing approximately 0.25 grams. This is enough to sow 4 square metres.
