Protect the potted flower bulbs in winter by covering the soil with a layer of autumn leaves. In the event of severe frost, temporarily place the pot in a shed or protect it with bubble wrap. When planting in the open ground, maintain a planting distance of three times the width of the flower bulb. When planted in a pot, the flower bulbs can be somewhat closer together. Plant the bulb the depth of three times the bulb's height. Put the flower bulbs in the sun or partial shade. The flower bulbs grow beautifully without needing extra water.
