Wax Amaryllis Giletz red

Hippeastrum
No Water Flowers®
This unique Waxz® amaryllis bulb features multiple colours on its wax layer. The two flower stalks of this lovely amaryllis each produce three to four beautiful pink flowers. Give the amaryllis a spot in your living room where it can really attract attention. Depending on how warm its spot is, the amaryllis will bloom for 3 to 6 weeks. Comes with a metal stand so the flower remains upright. The Amaryllis Waxz® does not require any water or soil.

Extra+

The name Amaryllis actually came about due to a mistake by Swedish botanist Linnaeus. This was apparently because the buds of the flower resemble horse ears. In 1800, botanist Herbert discovered that the flower bulb did not belong to the Amaryllis species. That is why he came up with the new species name Hippeastrum, which is the name in Greek for “knight’s star”. However, the flower itself is still called Amaryllis.
