Wax A Stylish Candle + Amaryllis

Wax A Stylish Candle + Amaryllis

An artistic combination of a candle and a No Water Flowers® amaryllis!
The unique Waxz® Rembrandt gift pack consists of a Waxz® Rembrandt amaryllis bulb and a pretty candle in the same style. Just so nice to look at. The bulb is coated with a layer of artistic, colourful and decorative wax. This beautiful amaryllis blossoms with lovely red flowers on 2 flower stems, each with 3 or 4 flowers. Depending on the warmth of the room, your amaryllis will flower for 3-6 weeks. Comes with a metal standard to help the bulb and flowers to stand upright. The Waxz® Rembrandt amaryllis bulb requires no soil and no water. Do consider ordering several at once, for a lovely effect in your home, or just so you can give one as a present too.

The name Amaryllis actually came about due to a mistake by Swedish botanist Linnaeus. This was apparently because the buds of the flower resemble horse ears. In 1800, botanist Herbert discovered that the flower bulb did not belong to the Amaryllis species. That is why he came up with the new species name Hippeastrum, which is the name in Greek for “knight’s star”. However, the flower itself is still called Amaryllis.
