Herbs on patio or decking

These pots can be stood outdoors from mid-May. Acclimatise them by standing them in a shady spot for an hour longer every day. After 5 days they will be ready to stay outdoors. Stand in a sunny, partly shaded spot. For convenience, keep pots near the kitchen door or window and then you will always have fresh herbs to hand.
Specifics+
Originating in the eastern Mediterranean, oregano (Origanum vulgare) is familiar to us in the delicious Greek and Italian kitchen and evokes those countries just by the smell of it.

Oregano is a hardy perennial and makes great ground cover too. In pots it is just lovely. It will bloom with pale pink (edible) flowers in the summer. Oregano is sometimes called wild marjoram.

A health giving leaf, is it used for medicinal purposes and the ethereal oil of the plant has an antibacterial quality.

Oregano (Origanum vulagre) is one of the Lamiaceae family and related to marjoram (Origanum majoranum) which also smells delicious and is used as a herb but is an annual.
