Description-

Pink-red plumes

They look just like strawberries! The large, pink/white plumes of the panicle hydrangea. The 'Vanille Fraise' (Hydrangea paniculata) has large, conical clusters of flowers. The cream/white clusters change colour in the autumn, from pink to dark red. You can plant the hardy hydrangea all year round, provided temperatures have not dipped below freezing. The flowers bloom in the summer.
Pruning is not necessary. Unless the bush becomes too large. Plant the hydrangea in partial shade. The soil should be kept damp. Give them extra water during dry periods.

Planting+
Make sure the roots of Panicle Hydrangea 'Vanille Fraise' are well-moistened by soaking them in a bucket of lukewarm water before planting. Prepare a suitable hole in moist, humus-rich soil. Improve your garden soil by adding some compost to it. Plant the Panicle Hydrangea 'Vanille Fraise' at the correct depth. The top of the roots should be just slightly below ground level. Fill the hole with soil and press firmly.  Water immediately after planting. Panicle Hydrangea 'Vanille Fraise' grows best in a sunny or partially shaded area.
Care+
During dry periods, do not forget to water more often as the Panicle Hydrangea 'Vanille Fraise' doesn't tolerate dry soil, its roots always need water. Hydrangea paniculata 'Vanille Fraise' flowers on one year branches, therefore, you can cut them back to about 40 cm above ground level each spring. This encourages a compact growth and a more intense flowering. What if you prefer a large shrub? In that case, pruning is not absolutely necessary.
Specifics+
Panicle Hydrangea 'Vanille Fraise' is a relatively new and exceptional variety with large panicles, white-cream at first, gradually changing to a pink strawberry flush. As this shrub contains both white and pink flowers, hence the name 'Vanille Fraise'! Mmm... strawberries with vanilla ice cream!
