Weiße Trauben aus dem eigenen Boden

Süße weiße Trauben. Selbst angebaut! Trauben wachsen in gut durchlässigen Böden.

Planting+
As they are supplied in their dormant state, there is no reason why they should not be planted on receipt, in their permanent positions. Make sure the root ball is well-moistened before planting Grape 'Palatina' by soaking it in a bucket of lukewarm water. Prepare a suitable hole in humus-rich, well-drained soil, to comfortably accommodate the roots. Plant the Grape 'Palatina' at the correct depth, the top of the root ball should be just slightly below ground level. Don't plant it too deep (no deeper than the graft). When planted, fill in the hole and firm with your feet so that there is a slight depression at the base. Water immediately after planting. Grapes grow best in a sunny area. Plant the grape vines 150-200 cm apart. It is also possible to grow Grape 'Palatina' in a greenhouse or conservatory. Or you can plant the grape in a large flower pot or planter, although yields will generally be lower.
Care+
Grape vines need a support. It is recommended to grow them against a wall or a mesh fence to give support for the branches. When new growth begins, use a soft string and tie the strongest leading shoot upright to wires. Any other leaders can be cut flush with the stem. During the autumn, add a little lime to the soil and some mixed organic fertiliser in the spring. The soil should not be too wet but in times of drought it is advisable to water more often. If you want to cover your vines with netting to keep out the birds, attach the netting at the sides rather than throwing it over the plants.
Specifics+
The white grape 'Palatina' is a succulent table grape that grows in large bunches. The grapes are weather dependant and start to ripen in early September. Vitis vinifera 'Palatina' is a disease-resistant variety that gives a relatively high yield. This decorative plant is great for growing against a fence or pergola.
This grape is a self-pollinator.
