Description-

A fir tree from the East

Blue-green needles and purple cones. The Korean fir in a nursery pot has them both. The Korean fir (Abies koreana) is a slow-growing fir tree. That makes this an ideal plant for a smaller garden. This pyramid-shaped conifer is winter-hardy and evergreen. Due to its shape and fragrant branches, this fir can also be used as a Christmas tree. The conifer thrives in a spacious pot or planter. Pruning is not necessary. The natural shape of this conifer is beautiful on its own. During the first few months after planting, make sure that the conifer gets enough water. It's best to give them extra water during dry periods. And they need sufficient light in order to grow well. The conifer grows best in full or half sun.

Planting+
The Blueberry bush grows best in acidic, humus-rich soil, so you can utilise your garden soil by adding some peat-based potting compost. Clay soils are not suitable. If it is an alkaline soil then it is best to grow the blueberry in a pot or container. Prepare a large hole in good, loose soil and plant the root ball of the blueberry ‘Northsky’ at the correct depth in the hole. The top of the root ball should be just slightly below ground level. Fill the hole with soil and press firmly. Water well immediately after planting. Blueberry bushes ideally grow in a sunny or partially shaded area, protected from cold winds.
Care+
The soil around the roots should never dry out. Water the blueberry bush on a regular basis during dry periods, preferably with rainwater. During the spring you can give it some fertiliser which will encourage its growth. In winter, place some garden compost with a layer of fallen leaves, about 5 cm thick, around the roots of the blueberry bush.
Specifics+
Blueberry bushes are very hardy. During spring, the bush is covered with beautiful white flowers. The berries are very tasty and full of vitamins, they are real health benefits. You can eat them straight from the bush or use them in jam making and for baking. Birds also love blueberries!
