This potted cactus should be given a nice light spot as soon as possible upon receipt. Full sun won't be a problem. A strong and decorative cactus, this one is very undemanding.
Little to moderate watering is required by this Isolatocereus, as this succulent can withstand a lot of drought. Allow the pot to dry out between waterings. A single watering over the winter will suffice and it should then be stood in a cooler position. Take caution on giving this plant too much water, the result would be that you could lose the plant. If you do need to repot your Isolatocereus, use a mix of potting compost and sharp sand. When handling your Isolatocereus, use gardening gloves and/or strips of folded newspaper for protection from its spines.
Isolatocereus originated in the arid regions of Mexico. A very striking columnar cactus, it makes lateral branches as it gets older and begins to resemble a candelabra. After a few years, this candelabra cactus can reach a good height. Isolatocereus is a decorative cactus that is easy to look after.
