Hemerocallis "Pink Wing®", Salmon Pink/Orange - Bare-rooted - Plant

Hemerocallis - Pink Wing®
Description:
Want super convenient lilies with lots of flowers? The Hemerocallis "Pink Wing®" is what you need. It is also known as the daylily. Daylilies start blooming in June and end at the first frost. That's nice and long. Each flower blossoms for one day. Every day after that, the plant creates a new flower. That's where the name "daylily" comes from. You will receive the Hemerocallis "Pink Wing®" as bare-root stock in sugar cane sacking. This is more environmentally friendly than plastic nursery pots. The roots are shipped fresh from the ground. They are already one year old. This gives them additional strength, enabling them to grow faster than they would in a nursery pot. Plants grown from bare-root stock also adapt to their new environment more easily. They flower better and they are more economical. Bare-root stock plants grow when it becomes warmer. They are winter-hardy perennials. They can be planted at any time, provided that the ground is not frozen. Hemerocallis does best in full or half sun. They can be planted in flower pots or around the garden. They do especially well along pond banks. Daylilies love moist soil. Give them extra water during dry spells.

Planting+
Daylilies will thrive in the garden. Dig a wide hole and loosen the soil with a fork. Improve poor soil with the addition of some well-rotted manure. Plant your Hemerocallis at the correct depth - the top of the root system should come to just below soil level. Fill the hole with soil and press well in. Water your daylily immediately. Your daylily will thrive in full sun or part shade.
Potted daylily
Daylilies look lovely potted up too and will definitely grace any patio or decking you place them on. Do ensure good drainage and choose a pot with holes in the base, layered with potsherds or gravel before you add the potting compost. Water your daylily immediately after planting. You will see the pale green foliage appear in the spring and the whole plant will burst into flower in the summer.
Care+
The soil around Hemerocallis must not dry out. Daylilies will thrive in fairly moist soil, such as along the edge of the garden pond. Do not snip out overblown flower stems too soon, as there are usually new flower buds forming. The daylily is a very strong garden plant that can remain planted in the same spot for years to come. Give it a winter mulch of well-rotted manure around the base of the clump.
