The Agastache is the perfect plant for a butterfly garden!
A lovely border plant that is also known as hummingbird mint. Agastache is a perennial that dies back in the winter. Blends well with other plants so just perfect in sunny borders and flowers all summer long. Agastache rugosa 'Alabaster' (giant hyssop or hummingbird mint) has an aniseed fragrance, very rich in nectar and therefore particularly attractive to butterflies and (bumble) bees. Hummingbird mint is easy to grow and enjoys a sunny spot, and especially in winter a dry place in the garden! Tolerates any fertile soil.
