Flowers from May - October. Last year's plants can flower as early as May! Newly grown seedlings will begin to flower at the end of June.
Water extra in periods of drought and keep the flower bed free of weed to allow your geraniums (Pelargonium hybrids) to flourish. Geraniums don't ask much but do not like their roots to be too wet. Poor soil will not be a problem for this plant but it will show its appreciation for some fertiliser with a higher potassium (K) content, than that of nitrogen (N).
Geraniums can flourish from May through to autumn and this plant can grow up to 40 cm tall. If you want to keep it compact, nip out the tops of each plant. Make them bushy by topping off the main stem at 8-10 cm high.
The geranium or pelargonium (Pelargonium hybrid) is an annually grown semi-shrub that grows to about 25-50 cm tall. In frost-free regions, it can grow quite woody and will then blossom even more profusely the next year.
This abundantly flowering Pelargonium hybrid is perfect for large and attractive planters on your patio or decking!
